As appropriate with the globe in front of his face, this is “Quentin’s World”, a world of pleasing the photographer while remaining true to who he was: Himself, even as frightening as the double image of himself glaring back at him in feigned surprise. Surprisingly, Quentin did not wince at Marty’s request to photograph him in the process of “becoming Quentin Crisp”, thus we have many images in this exhibit and others yet to be revealed of Quentin in various levels of dress and undress becoming the public persona.
